Join us for Harvest Supper and Guest Speaker

We would love to see you at St Hilda's Hall on Sunday 9 October for a free Harvest Supper and a chance to hear more about Over Farm's plans for Matson.

All over the country churches and schools are celebrating the Autumn harvest. At Matson we've got every reason to celebrate the many ways we've pulled together to make our community safer, greener, and more resilient.

Over Farm have had planning permission to build a new Farm Market at Winnycroft Farm so we've invited a member of staff from their main site to come and speak to us. Us means 'you'!

So come and listen, ask questions, eat, drink, and meet friends old and new.

Transition Gloucester

At the Transition Gloucester meeting tonight there were, as usual, more people from Matson and Churchdown than elsewhere. There were a few people from Abbeydale too.

One of the small groups is going to look into having a food production workshop in the spring in Matson.

There are also plans for a Transition group Alternative Carol Singing event in the city centre on 12/12 at 11 a.m. All are welcome of course: more details to be posted soon.

Gloucestershire Gateway

Today saw the launch of the Gloucestershire Gateway Project at the Gateway Centre in Matson.

Jane and I attended and Mark thanked all those who have supported the project so far and looked forward to working together in the future.

"The vision for the Gloucestershire Gateway is that it will be unlike any other motorway service experience. The emerging design proposes to integrate landscape with building and seeks to create a restful, rural oasis sheltered from the M5."

Available already is the opportunity to get a free bike for just 20 hours volunteer work. There is a small shop at the centre selling good quality used sports gear. Do you have any to spare?
