The project Together in Matson was set up many years ago by local Churches: Church of England, Roman Catholic, and Baptist and has gone from strength to strength in recent years.
But that's just one of the ways that Churches come together in the area. The Parish Magazine is another joint project that's been going for a long time and the editorial board is made up of members of all three Churches.
Evening Prayer at St Katharine's uses the prayer book you'd more likely find at St Augustine's and involves both Roman Catholic and Church of England people praying and thinking things through together.
When we interview on Friday for our new "Priest-in-Charge" at St Katharine's the interviews will be hosted by Matson Baptist Church (thank you!) and ministers from all three churches have been invited to attend.
But my favourite bit of Churches working together is when we go down to the Kings Head, on Painswick Road for a pie and a pint. Which is what we're doing on Tuesday.
Cheers!
Keith (Curate at St Katharine's)
